No, I am not repeating! Someone is pirating my address and name again. I guess he is not confident enough to debate openly. If he can pirate an IP address he can't be uneducated - just childishly stupid. That is ok though, I have referred to AT&T. They didn't seem too happy about someone using their IP area without paying.

Greg, If you raised your hand and was waved down, I apologize, but I did not see that and I won't challenge it. Your statement about not having an interest in either group rings hollow. Ever since I have become interested (5 Years) in Commission meetings or the Height limit issue, I have heard you speak at Commission meetings and never once did you speak without attacking Boyle or CANDO. Your web site is anti Boyle and anti CANDO. In all the times you came to CANDO, except for the last time, I don't remember anyone really bothering you. As I mentioned we had a B&G representative for many of our meetings and he was accepted as a friend, but then he never publicly attacked CANDO, and was totally up front about the reason for being there. Your comment is interesting: are you saying that there is someone in the group with an ulterior motive? I compliment you on your present candor.

Greg, you said:'Btw, there is no official membership in CANDO,not yet anyway. There is also no official party line, your bilaws were not in effect when Kane made his statemens.' Am I wrong on that? NO Greg, you are correct. Next quote, 'A vote was taken durring the CANDO meeting not all were present' As you stated above, there is no official membership - how would CANDO fulfill your complaint? What organization that you know of requires all members to be present to have a valid vote? Also, 'not all had copies of the bi-laws to review to vote on.' Greg, Greg , Greg, how can you be there and not know what is happening. All people on the mailing list were given advanced agendas to evaluate and consider suggestions for the bi-laws. Because all present did not bring their copies was not CANDO's fault. All the items were read and the option to accept as read or vote on each individual item was offered. Remember?. They started to go item by item, but due to time constraints the document was accepted as a whole - WITH the ability to amend any or all, as the case may be, in the future. I think you are so obsessed with discrediting CANDO that it overrides your thought process.

Greg, 'your bilaws were not in effect' Why does your site state that 'CANDO'er change bylaws to create dictatorship organization!'? Concerning J Kane, you are twisting the point. Jerry Kane can say anything he wants as a non-officer. I guess you don't understand courtesy, loyalty and integrity, but the honorable thing to do (as an officer) would have been to inform (he had more than sufficient time) the chairperson of his change of position and offer to resign as an officer. He disrespected the organization in which he wanted to be an officer and reversed his official stated position. As a non-officer, he had no obligation to inform the chairperson.

'You (CANDO'er) called the Mayor corrupt, in the pocket of developers.' This was election rhetoric - in any campaign that is something that happens. It doesn't speak to the better side of either group, but it is there. However concerning this blog, of all the points of interest that I have posted, none were answered with verifiable information and almost everyone of the retorts used insult, innuendo, and irrelevant character assignation. I have to admit that you guys are much more advanced in the area of insults and sarcasm.

The dissatisfaction with Jerry was not totally because he supported Costello. As an officer of an organization it is expected that you will not publicly speak out against the organization. Jerry Kane had more that sufficient to make his views known to the organization. I don't know if any of you understand common courtesy or not, but Jerry showed none. If I were in Jerry's shoes, I would have made my change of position known and volunteered to resign as an officer. If, however, he was not an officer, he would have been well within his rights to do as he he did. Maybe you can't see it, but it is a matter of ethics and integrity.

You are a victim of election rhetoric. While all but one of the candidates were participants of CANDO, which by the way encourages participation in the political system, they were not CANDO candidates. CANDO never endorsed any of them. CANDO individuals supported their chosen candidates. It amazes me that you folks are so misinformed and always resort low class name calling. Moi, Moi, Moi, I didn't know that court was in session? Do you really have a problem understanding the two words? Now you have changed the conditions from the Mayor was denied the right to speak to denied the right at the Nov. meeting. I don't know that your conclusion is correct. It isn't necessarily a fact that he couldn't speak then. The only way to determine that would be if the Mayor asked again in a timely manner to speak to CANDO and was refused and told that they do not want to hear from him. Pay attention, I am refuting the false claims of the frick and frack's web page! CANDO had a representative from B&G at many of our meetings. He was an honest person with no apparent ulterior motive. He openly stated that he was at the meeting to report back to B&G. He was well received and was liked by, I believe, every CANDO member. Just don't be deceitful and report on the meeting fairly!

Let me 'educate' you on IP addresses ormondron. The IP address 67.35.154.133 does not belong to you; it belongs to Bellsouth who operates DSL lines in the 67.32.0.0 to 67.35.255.255 range. You lease the line from Bellsouth you do not own the IP address. Typically with DSL the your static IP will only change few times a month unless you disconnect your DSL modem often. If you have a dynamic IP address (more expensive) then your IP address is always the same, even if you lease it you have a legal right to it and would have grounds to go after someone using it. I am not aware of any ways to forge someone else IP address unless the person who did this has access to the administration side of this blog. In other words I don't believe anyone used your IP address however I believe someone forged the post to make it like you were the author. Very interesting!!!!!

In a typical ploy to defame CANDO, ob 1/2 facts continues to quote Mr. Carter's motion to prevent the Mayor from speaking at a CANDO meeting as proof of their false claim that CANDO will not let the Mayor speak. The motion was not carried! Apparently, the authors of ob 1/2 facts do not understand that in a business meeting, motions have no impact unless they are passed. They also don't understand free and open discussion at meetings. Again, this is their way of twisting the facts to prove their false opinion. If anyone knows who to contact about someone pirating an IP address, please, let me know.

Am I mistaken, or was it found that the suit had no merit? I have heard that the suit wasn't generated entirely by the NJ. Do you know if the NJ ever reimbursed the City for the expense of their Frivolous law suit? Why is this purveyor (ob1/2facts) of apparent smut and lies still blaming Boyle for the cost when he was cleared and was the victim of the frivolous lawsuit? Kind of speaks volumes about the authors of that site!

The statement that is false is this: (NOW PAY ATTENTION) The Mayor was not refused the chance to talk to CANDO. He was told that that specific evening was not a good time since CANDO would be involved in by-law issues. Maybe a little more advanced notice would have been the courteous thing to do. The Mayor was told that that night was not a good night and was NOT told NO.' If you are familiar with by-laws establishing, the one hour meeting had little extra time to give the Mayor a fair hearing. A little advanced notice would have been appropriate. Not even fines as Daytona Beach has levied on similar situations. Costello and the rest of the Commission have won the election; Boyle and the other opposition candidates were defeated. From here on it is what Costello and the Commission do that is relevant. What Boyle did or didn't do has no impact on the City from here on. Will the tax cut survive? Will there be another tax cut next year as suggested? Will the building heights resolution be circumvented? Will the City continue to give away Halifax River access? Will they ever do something about the decaying, vacant motel on A1A? That motel was condemned around 2000 or earlier. City code it should have been torn down years ago and we don't even collect delinquent fees. How about the excessive traffic on Granada? Maybe we should be talking about this kind of things instead of history.

If that were the case, why all the tax increases. The commission made State mandated tax cuts just in time for the election. If re-elected how about next year? You are right CG, their campaign is nothing but innuendo, generalities and false statements. Also, from the looks of the Costello signs he has no grass root support - I'll bet his signs were installed by paid installers - remind you of B&G's grass root support. I would like to expand on the lie thing. First there is a difference between a DIRECT quote and an INDIRECT quote. A DIRECT quote requires that the statement be bracketed with quotation marks and as such indicates that this what the person said without edit. An INDIRECT quote is a generalization of the person’s statement and does not require quotation marks. I did not use quotation marks in my quote of Costello. Also, if you remember I have referred to the usage of the 15 year old settled issue as trash. I said I stood corrected because I assumed that you were not able to distinguish between a DIRECT quote and an INDIRECT quote and had forgotten the context of my usage of trash.

You block out reality and ignore what is obvious, but in My opinion the letter was raking trash. You and the rest of the pro Costello people are using character assignation on Boyle because you can’t come up with anything positive about Costello. Why would Costello or anyone else try to 'stop' Olivari from sending a letter to Ormond citizens? Because, AGAIN, he represents Costello’s campaign and Costello is maintaining that he is not in favor of gutter politics. If that is true, however, why didn't he stop the letter. His claim of lofty politics wouldn't have such a hollow ring, if he had stopped it.

Mr. Oliveri is the campaign Treasurer for the Costello re-election campaign and as a principal he speaks for the Campaign. He is dredging up a 15 year old action, thus adding to the weight of the main thrust of Costello campaign. Costello on the WELE interview attempted to distance himself from the letter. It would appear that even Costello had a twinge of integrity, but not enough to discourage the mailing of the letter. So the letter must have contained misinformation and a reference that even Costello had problems with. Let me see…. could it be…. TRASH!!!! Costello saw it what is your problem?

He owns the business free and clear and his home should not be an excessive drain on his finances. He has been married to the same woman for about 11 years and she has worked as a teacher 11+ years. Her salary alone is most likely sufficient to cover their needs.

He said that he put a disclaimer on the letter, but let it go any way. Yet in one of his ads, Costello maintained that he doesn't indulge in that kind of thing, but he will allow his people to indulge. That shows a clear lack of integrity.

You said I was lying! How come now you ignore the follow up conversation. I asked some reasonable follow up questions. You refuse to respond! CG, I don't know about you, but most of the time I get the feeling that we are dueling with unarmed individuals. Do you get the same feeling?

Did you notice that someone tried to use your nickname? I am not surprised that some of these guys would use HomeTown News: The writers are invisible. I'll bet they never write letters to the News Journal.

I guess that you are not able to determine what is a lie. A lie is a false statement meant to deceive, mislead or intentionally distort. I said that a letter was sent with reference to past history. You agreed that there was a letter sent. I did not identify the author - only that Costello knew about it and didn't stop it. So are we both are lying, or can't you differentiate between truth and untruth??? What is your point about the gentleman being a respected CPA? As far as numbers go, CPA indicates authority, but in anything else, CPA is meaningless!
